About the Pub

A much-appreciated inn on the 192-mile Coast-to-Coast route, this village green pub offers a warm welcome to walkers and locals alike. The opened-out interior features a stone floor and wood-burning stoves and is home to the local sword dancers. Two ciders and a perry are usually available. Food is available April-October and geared to walkers' needs, with lunchtime snacks and hearty evening meals using much locally-sourced produce but booking is advisable. Winter hours vary and are much more limited (closed Mondays, open evenings only Tues-Fridays and closed Saturday and Sunday afternoons).
