NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Historic Interest
Angel Hill appears to have been renumbered several times. The pub was listed at 17 in 1844, at 21 by 1851, at 24 by 1881 & finally at 25 by 1891. Although the building dates from the 15th century; the exterior is 18th century. A report in the Bury & Norwich Post*** on 18 March in 1801 states that :
To the lovers of Natural Curiosities, to be seen alive, In a genteel room at Mr BULL's, the sign of the Bull, Angel Hill, Bury - The largest rattlesnake ever seen in England, 42 years old, nearly 9 feet long, in full health & vigour. He is well secured so that Ladies & Gentlemen may see him without the least danger. Ladies & Gentlemen 1s, Working People & children 6d - The same advertisement appeared on 28 March after the asp had been moved to Mr PRESTON's at the King's Head, Cornhill, Ipswich.
A report in the Bury & Norwich Post** on Jan-31 in 1860 when George Utting was the landlord reports that :
"George Utting was charged that knowingly & wilfully he permitted notorously bad characters to assemble in his house & not maintaining good order therein. He was found guilty & fined £5 with costs."
A report in the Ipswich Journal*** on 26 Oct in 1869 states that :
The licensed Vctuallers Tea Association advertised the sale of tea via its Suffolk Agents. This was a response to the irregular sale of Wine by Grocers & included a reference to W. WELHAM of the One Bull Inn, Angel Hill, Bury.
A report in the Bury & Norwich Post** on Feb-15 in 1870 when Mr H S Scott was the landlord reports that :
"Hannah Hunt chambermaid at the One Bull was charged with stealing two silverspoons from Mr H S Scott of the One Bell."
