NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

This excellent brewpub is on the site of the original Cannon Brewery. Now in private hands, it is a true free house. The Old Cannon Brewery serves good quality food and comfortable accommodation is available. Both the brewpub and stable block are Grade II Listed. They date from mid 19th century.

They brew their own beers on site and have 2 signature beers available throughout the year; Best bitter and Gunner's Daughter and have a rotating seasonal ale which they also brew on site. They conduct tours of the micro brewery (book for tour) and usually brew in the bar using two vessels every Monday and Wednesday.
