Black Country Ales

About the Pub

A real ale pub converted from offices by Black Country Traditional Inns and opened in August 2012. One of the oldest buildings in the city centre - the Georgian frontage of the pub dates from 1726, whilst the timber framed part at the rear dates from about 1500. The two small bars are down a short flight of stairs from street level and there is a function room with a bar upstairs. A lift for the disabled gives access to all rooms. Three beers from Black Country Ales along with six ever-changing guest beers, including two porters/stouts, and a real cider are served.

There are regular weekend tap takeovers by local breweries. Beer festivals are held in April and November and a cider festival in July.

The pub hosts a Wednesday poker evening. The first Tuesday of the month there is a quiz and third Wednesday a Vinyl night.

Cobs available at lunchtime and you may bring in your own food with plates and cutlery provided.
