About the Pub
Following a closure of almost a year, the pub reopened at the end of November 2019 from the team behind the Good Mixer in Camden. The rather beautiful tilework on the exterior (see archive photo) has been sadly painted over by the present owners.
No real ales, keg beer only. Burgers and Sunday roasts are on offer. Function Rooms are opening in 2020 plus a roof terrace and karaoke lounge.
Whilst awaiting a resurvey by the local CAMRA branch, previous description follows.
Corner site, providing a single bar room downstairs with a beer garden to the rear and a roof terrace, music room/function areas upstairs.
The pub was built in 1865 and named after the railway company which constructed the adjacent railway and station. Closed in January 2018, it reopened six months later under new ownership and management which survived six months before a further closure of ten months, reopening in November 2019 under yet new management.
