About the Pub

Originally built in 1826 as the Royal Standard, it was rebuilt by Barclay Perkins in 1939. Following a period of closure, the pub reopened in late 2016, reverting to its original name from the interim Rob Roy name. About two thirds of the ground floor is now given over to dining but there is also a basement bar. Craft beers but no real ale.

As at 7 April 2017 we are informed: The upper parts have been converted to hotel use without planning consent and this is now the subject of an enforcement investigation by Westminster CC. The site also appears to be for sale by Christies for £10m.
