About the Pub

CLOSED in May 2016 due to expiry of lease. Previous description was:

Grade II listed and smartly furnished corner pub filled with artefacts and figurines of the Duke. Built in 1812, as the Marquess of Wellington, which it remained until 1818. First floor dining room, also hireable for functions.

The December 2019 licence applicant operates the Albert Arms SE1. Proposed use is for a gastropub, but a pub not a restaurant.

18/08051/LIPN Premises Licence - New: Application by Sigma W1 Ltd 12 Transept Street London NW1 5EW registered company 11342709 - premises described as 'public house'. Licence granted in Jan 2019. On the application under promoting the licensing objectives, general: The premises was previously licensed as a public house under licence number 16/01312/LIPVM. Licence 16/01312/LIPVM was surrendered and the application is to effectively seek to restore the once loved public house that has fallen into ruin. The applicant is offering more robust conditions and these are contained in the conditions document accompanying the application.

As at Jan 2019 the premises is to let as A3 restaurant/A4 public house via Faradays.
