NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
The Street Bar, on the ground floor, is not that big, with a cocktail bar and restaurant in the former bank vaults downstairs. There is a civilised atmosphere; the after-work custom includes mainly civil servants. No outdoor seating. Saturday & Sunday brunch available; pre-theatre menu on offer from 5pm. Up-market prices reflect the area. Because it is a bit hidden, this pub is markedly less touristy than the main Whitehall sites. Often some of the lesser-known ales are on offer here.
Historic Interest
Craig's Court was formed by one Joseph Craig at the end of the seventeenth century, and whilst the Court first appears in the ratebook in 1696 it seems some houses had already been erected when he applied for a Crown lease in 1693/4. It is described in 1720 'with new Buildings fit for Gentry of Repute.' The Sun Fire Office first appeared in Craig's Court in 1726, but it was 1765 before Richard Cox (who founded Messrs Cox and Co., the army agents and eventual bankers) removed there from Albermarle Street. A pub was opened in 1990 in this former bank by Allied Breweries with Nicholson branding, later Mitchells & Butler. From 2004 this was leased to the Morton-Scott Pub Company and then acquired in May 2016 by City Fund Pub Company.
