About the Pub

Originally built c1813 and called the White Horse until 1832 (it was a watering-hole for horses). Rebuilt in the 1894 by the New Westminster brewery, whose premises were situated a short distance away in Earl Street. Now a welcoming single-bar pub, with a fine, long wooden bar and bar back. Photographs of local scenes adorn the walls. Watch out for two ‘White Horse & Bower’ mirrors and the old Shepherd Neame Pale Ale brewery sign. Four handpumps, and at least three real ales should be available.
