NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Historic Interest

Known just as the "Swan" at least as late as 1967; the actual date of the name change is not known. A report in the Ipswich Journal on 06 Sep 1879 states that: At the Halesworth Annual Licensing Day (03 Sep 1879), all renewed except Mrs Read, at the Swan where the police complained about the characters visiting this house & conduct. Mr Brooke, from the Bench advised Mrs Read to come back next week sober. She had to be removed from the Court. A report in the Ipswich Journal in Mar 1890 states that: At the Halesworth Petty Sessions of 18th March 1890, an extension of time was granted to Samuel Kent, of the Swan Inn, Halesworth, on the occasion of the railway employees dinner on the 21st.
