NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
Situated in a tiny village on the edge of Sotterley Park, this inn dates back to the 16th Century. The original arched doors and carved fox heads have been retained. The interior comprises a bar with comfortable seating leading to a conservatory and a separate restaurant area. Outside, a patio and small garden are popular in summer months. Beer festivals are held twice yearly: one over Father's Day weekend and the other close to Halloween. Live music each Friday evening. The pub has several clubs for locals including a Real Ale club with regular brewery presentations and a book club.
Historic Interest
A report in the Ipswich Journal on 21 July 1855 states that: Auction of the Fox in Willingham Street (Shaddingfield), with a general shop, Slaughter house, Stable & loft over, & other outbuildings & Yard, also a garden adjoining the house, lying in Shaddingfield, occupied, with Fox Meadow, by Mr Robert JORDAN, at an aggregate rental of £30 - Sold under the Will of the late T.C.SCOTT esq.
