NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

Originally Manor Farm 1665 with 100 acres; as a pub first bore the name Goose & Cowslip but locals made wordplay of "Cowslip". Lovely sandstone building with a simple interior, once the home of Titus Salt. From 1813, building was licensed for Congregational Worship. At the end of 2012 the Goose & Cowslip name was restored (perhaps locals had made wordplay of "Manor"?
