But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
Refurbished in September 2013, which also introduced 3 real ales. If you remember it as it was, a visit to see it now is recommended. Regular promotions on food/drink - check their website for latest details.
Historic Interest
The Ship Inn is the second oldest building in the area, with the church opposite being older, and is said to date from the early 16th century. The Ship was originally a private house on an estate called 'Stringers' and it was owned in 1639 by Lord Darcy. In 1709 the property and orchard behind was sold to Thomas Joy for £45. There were already two other alehouses in the village - The Queen's Head (which had opened in 1679) and the King’s Head (which is now a restaurant on the opposite corner). In 1788 John Cobbold provided the beer and 12 years later bought the premises for £700.
