About the Pub

Friendly local, a short walk up from harbour & beach. Building was built in 1805 and started life as tailor and drapers. It became a pub when brewer Richard Tomson brought it, and got its name because Tomson & Wotton were keen to commemorate the heroes of the French wars and the fact that Nelson's corpse on deck of Victory dropped anchor in Viking bay on it return for Battle of Trafalgar.
