About the Pub
Since closure has been appointed Grade II listed status.
This pub with shuttered, leaded windows, flint façade dates back to 1795, when it was called the Queens Arms Tap, though the building is said to be much older. Its current name was mentioned on documents in 1814, when it is reputed to have been used as a officer's billet. The pub smacks of olde world charm.
