About the Pub

The Button Oak Inn is at least 300 years old and is the heart of Button Oak village. The name Button Oak is thought to come from the word 'boothen', the plural of booth - a shelter used by charcoal burners who lived in the area. Charcoal burning was a time consuming occupation with the burners keeping watch over their charcoal mounds for five or six days at a time in order to produce the best quality charcoal.

Inside the pub there is a seating area for diners and a bar for drinkers to prop themselves up on and a cosy seated area around a cosy log burner. In addition to this there is a small darts room.

There is a large garden with benches to the side of the building, a large covered smoking area and a courtyard drinking area too.

The pub is sat in acres of land with Wyre Forest close by which is popular with walkers and off-road cyclists.
