NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Please see pub Facebook or website for details of any take-out or delivery services available and any news about future reopening. Updated 19 Jan.

About the Pub

An established town Estate Pub completely refurbished throughout in mid 2015, with a bar and large dining area.

To the right of the entrance the bar area retains the old quarry tiles to maintain a traditional bar atmosphere. Please note that this is an adult only drinking area. Three handpulls dispense at least one beer from either Enville, Hobsons or Three Tuns breweries. Two LocAles are also available.

To the left of the entrance there are two comfortable dining areas where an excellent choice of pub fayre is available. There is a large car park and a well laid out beer garden with plenty of seating.

Ensuite accommodation available with 9 rooms.

Historic Interest

The Woodberry Inn (formerly The Woodberry Down) was built in the 1920’s as a gentleman’s residence for Mr Southwell the owner of the former Bridgnorth carpet factory on the River Severn. Following his death the house became a pub after being acquired by Ansells Brewery of Birmingham.
