About the Pub
A lovingly restored Grade II-listed 16th-century coaching inn with exposed timber beams, flagstone floor, leaded windows and three roaring log fires when it is cold out. Excellent food can be chosen from a quintessentially modern English menu using fresh local ingredients, a selection of daily specials, and delightful desert menu. There are three regular local and two changing guest beers, a small but carefully selected wine list, and a range of spirits and liqueurs. Dog friendly in bar and lounge areas, don't forget to ask for the dog biscuits and water bowl.
