About the Pub

Small city-centre lounge bar serving up to four ales, often including an Inveralmond beer. As well as the bar there is a small upstairs seating area. The pub takes its name from the former Greyfriars monastery, which was gutted by followers of John Knox in 1559 and subsequently demolished. Nearby attractions include a Victorian theatre, art gallery, museum and concert hall. This may well be the smallest lounge bar in the Fair City but it has an enviable reputation among locals and visitors as one of the friendliest pubs
