NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub
This thatched building standing in large grounds has been a pub since 1748. From the entrance there is a narrow bar at the front and restaurant to the right and several separate areas to the left of the bar. Dark wood panelling around the lower part of the walls, low ceilings and beams. This is a true freehouse with three real ales sourced locally from breweries such as Ramsbury, West Berkshire, Stonehenge and Andwell. It serves good quality food using locally sourced ingredients. There are occasionally wine tasting evenings.
Historic Interest
Licensed by the Bishop of Salisbury in 1748 to provide beer for the farm workers. Its sign, the Seven Starts, refers to the Plough visible on clear nights. It originally had its own brewery attached. It was a pyrotechnics factory manufacturing fireworks between 1898 - 1903. Also head quarters of the "Queens Club" Friendly Society of tradesmen and others in the Parish of Wilsford in 1837.
