NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

We are still considering when to open, but probably May with all the appropriate safety measures in place.

In the meantime we are still doing takeaway food.

Fish & Chips Friday - Please get in touch before 6pm this evening to pre-order your fish and chips for tomorrow. Fridays are turning out to be extremely busy for us and the more notice we have the easier it is for us and the more likely we are to be able to cater for you. Supply chain of fish has become some what erratic!

Sunday Roasts - Please get in touch by 9pm Friday to pre-order your Sunday Roasts. I need to get a butchers order in for Saturday to ensure we have enough meat to cover all of your orders!

About the Pub

CAMRA accredited for serving consistently well-kept real ales.

A previous runner-up in our branch Pub Of The Year competition and winner of Cider Pub Of The Year. A comfortable pub with several seating areas. The larger front room has soft sofas, a piano and a large inglenook fireplace, with a real log fire. There is also sports TV here. Another seating area (again with an open fire) leads through to the rear dining area, which has well-stocked bookshelves. Outside the rear of the pub is a delightful garden. The three guest ales in this Cask Marque pub are always varied and from some of the more interesting breweries local and around the country. Regular beer festivals are held during the year. Quiz night every Thursday at 8.30pm and Steak night is Wednesday. Buskers night is 1st & 3rd Tuesday every month. Breakfast is served from 11am on Saturdays.
