About the Pub

There is a relaxed atmosphere in this large high ceilinged pub laid out with tables and chairs for dining as well as comfortable sofas and armchairs for those customers wanting convivial conversation with friends.

Acquired by Antic in July 2011 and extensively refurbished before re-opening in March 2012. The pub name commemorates the former Pratts department store in Streatham and the well known former local resident and hostess Cynthia Payne.

Up to 6 real ales are available, usually including beers from Volden and Dark Star as well as locally brewed ales. There is a discount on normal strength cask beers on Mondays.

Kitchen Opening Times: 5-10 Mon-Fri; 12-10 Sat; 12-8 Sun.

Formerly Goose and previously Furze & Firkin, originally a Burton's tailors' shop.

TV (including BT & SKY) shows major sporting events, especially Rugby.
