Premises Status

This pub is permanently closed. Planning granted to demolish and replace with mixed use development granted 2013. A subsequent 2015 application is awaiting s.106 agreement.

About the Pub

Aawaiting redevelopment. Formerly Chopper, with the heliport nearby. Opposite Sambrook's Brewery (see photo). Popular with the West Indian community until 30 June 2013 closure following acquisition by property company Urbanicity with four storeys of upmarket flats planned for the site. Another property company now owns the site and proceeded to demolish the pub.
