About the Pub
An isolated pub with a scenic setting on the bank of the river Deben.
It is popular with walkers, sailors and bird-watchers. Food is mostly locally sourced and features fish and vegetarian options. The pub is child and dog friendly.
Local photographs featured on the walls include details of the crew of a World War Two aeroplane which crashed in the adjacent river whilst making a flight from a nearby airfield. Pictures are from local artists.
Historic Interest
Opened April 28th 1908, when the license was transferred from the nearby Dock Inn. This pub features in the film 'Yesterday' where Jack Malik (played by Himesh Patel) sings the Beatles song "Yesterday" in the beer garden.
