About the Pub
Award winning free house with up to 15 real ales on at any one time Food Wednesday to Sunday only. A short distance from town, this popular pub was a previous CAMRA National Pub of the Year runnerup. Half-timbered, with etched glass windows, it was built in the 1870s by Ellis Warde Brewery. It offers a constantly-changing beer range. Draught and bottled continental beers are stocked. Thursday is curry and jazz night, and on Tuesday night there is a free quiz. Darts and dominoes are played
