About the Pub

A traditional street corner local, situated just outside the town centre, with a warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere & community spirit. There is easy access to public transport, the railway station is within walking distance and there are several bus stops close by. Although the car park is small there is a large local authority car park opposite. The two guest beers change weekly and are from the Punch Finest Cask range. The pub has a 1980s retro games machine, which is claimed t be one of only two left in pubs within the UK. It features 20 of the most popular games from that era, including space invaders, donkey kong, packman and wonder boy. The pub may remain open late on Fridays & Saturdays.
