About the Pub
A one-roomed pub, refurbished sympathetically, to a high standard in 2015, with four distinct drinking areas and real fires at either end. Ten real ales and one real cider are always available including four ever-changing guest ales. No TVs or piped music, just good conversation. There are acoustic music nights and many clubs including backgammon, knitting, gaming, reading and photography meet here. The “Royal” also manages the Stone Beer Festival. Light snacks available all day. Lunches 12-3pm Fri/Sat, the ingredients in the expanding food range are “totally locally”. There is a set main course supper every first & third Monday of the month evening 6 - 8pm. There are monthly quiz nights.
