About the Pub
Historic Interest
Part of the building dates from the 17th century. Percy William Parton recorded as brewing at the pub in 1895 &1907 as well as being a maltster and tailor. He was also recorded as brewing at the pub in the Royal Commission Report on Arsenic in Beer in 1901. Susannah Parton recorded as brewing there in 1920.
