NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever as they recover following the pandemic.

COVID restrictions are no longer a legal requirement in pubs and clubs, but please be aware that many venues will choose to keep some measures in place for the safety of customers and staff.

Opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting updates on the pub.

About the Pub

18th century coaching inn with striking half-timbered frontage, unusual for the area, about 1 mile off the Ribble Way footpath. The brightly decorated main bar area has a mainly tiled floor and a traditional range in an imposing fireplace. There is a separate small room beyond the bar with darts board and TV and a much larger dining area to the right of the main entrance with a large multi-fuel stove which blasts out heat in winter. The large conservatory at the back also caters for diners, and can be hired for functions. The Plough closes for about a month after New Year - check social media or ring for exact dates.
