Re-opened on July 10th. Operating normal opening hours at a reduced capacity in all areas to ensure safe social distancing guidelines can be followed. There is no indoor seating in the Crowtrees Inn bar area, only in the attached Bowland Fell Restaurant. There are plenty of tables outside for drinking; if it is raining, drinkers may be accommodated in the restaurant, if there are spare tables. Reservations are required for dining. For drinks from the bar, a one-way system is in operation. Enter via the Crowtrees Inn door, sanitise hands and fill out a Test and Trace form giving date, name and telephone number and place it in the box. Order beer at the bar, then go round the corner to pick up your drinks and pay (card only). Once you've collected your drinks, return to your table in the restaurant or outside. One cask beer (Bowland Boxer) available 18th July. It is hoped to expand the range back to two or three in the coming days.

About the Pub

Situated at the centre of an expanding caravan park, the Crowtrees is a cosy, low-ceilinged, 17th century former farmhouse, dating from 1671 or earlier. The flagged public bar area is divided into four small interconnecting rooms, decorated in a modern style, with a fine traditional fireplace in one room. There is a separate restaurant (the Bowland Fell Restaurant), which was fully refurbished in 2017. The games room across the yard in the former caravan site office has darts board, pool table and table tennis. There is a farm shop selling local produce beyond the restaurant. The (limited timetable) number 11 minibus from Settle to Tosside, run by North Yorkshire Council, visits the site and drops off/picks up at the door. Otherwise look for the Crowtrees Inn sign on the B6478 about half a mile from Tosside towards Wigglesworth. Note the restricted winter hours. Worth seeking out.
