Re-opening to the public on July 5th at 12 noon - Opening times: 12pm - 11pm every day. One-way system in place for safety of customers and staff. All customers to be seated indoors and use table service provided, there will be no standing at the bar. We will not be taking reservations; we will be working on a first come first serve basis and one in one out after reaching full capacity. Groups of more than six people will not be able to sit on one table (please adhere to individual tables maximum numbers). No food will be served at present (we will keep you posted!). Sunday night quiz will remain on hold for now, but we are working towards welcoming all our wonderful teams’ home.

About the Pub

Imposing late Georgian building adjacent to the mediaeval parish church and close to the eponymous castle. A single bar serves 3 distinct drinking areas including a cosy snug. The outside drinking area at the front is especially popular on warm sunny days. Regular outlet for Theakstons Old Peculier. The food is all home-made and home-cooked, also served some evenings ring to enquire. Parking is limited. Quiz night Sunday.
