About the Pub

Substantial stone Grade II listed inn dating from 1723 or earlier, overlooking the village green. Named after the Lister family, who owned the Manor of Gisburn, twelve miles to the south. The tiled entrance hall opens to the stone-flagged main bar area, warmed by a log-burning stove, with two separate areas to left and right. There is also a separate dining room/restaurant, The large secluded garden at the rear has ample comfortable seating and views towards the cove. The well-stocked bar has a good selection of malt whiskies and gins. Home-made cakes, cream teas and luxury hot chocolate are also available. Breakfast is served 8-10 am, brunch from 10 to midday and the main menu is available thereafter. Malham can get very busy at weekends and in school holidays.
