Re-opening to the public on July 4th at 12 noon - Expected to participate in 'Eat Out to Help Out' government meal voucher scheme (Mon-Wed in August).
We are permitted to seat up to 6 people at a table, 1 meter from a neighboring table (we have measured these and they are all at least 1.2m) however to sit inside (for food or just drinks) booking in advance is advised and we need to take contact details for 1 of your party. We will keep this confidential and destroy after 21 days. The maximum of 6 people must be from no more than 2 households. We are encouraging table service where possible and will provide disposable, single use food menus or laminated, wipeable drinks menu. We will be thoroughly sanitizing the tables and condiment sets after each set of customers. It is permitted to order at the bar but we aren’t allowed to let customers stand at the bar to drink for the time being. We will deliver drinks to outside tables during busy times to avoid gatherings around the bar.
Open 7 days until October 1/2 term then we will close Mondays until the Easter Holidays 2021. Continuing to supply takeaway Beer and Food for those not ready to risk going to the pub yet.

We won’t be abandoning the takeaways but it will be changing slightly – working on this one. "Takeaway meals available for collection Wednesday - Sunday, 6-8pm. Order by 5pm via their facebook page,, email or ring direct."

Expected to participate in 'Eat Out to Help Out' government meal voucher scheme (Mon-Wed in August).

We are still happy to order the lovely essentials from Class One Fruit and Veg for those of you still shielding.

About the Pub

Built in 1630 and transformed into a pub in 1843, this stone property has open fires, mullioned windows, oak beamed ceilings and a stone flagged bar area. Outside there is a garden with tables and chairs, which provide stunning views of the surrounding valley. The emphasis is on the locally sourced food - booking is recommended. The Littondale dining room is available for private functions. The Lamb Brewing Company is based behind the pub. The three changing beers will include Lamb beers, currently a Pale and a Bitter. In summer, the pub is open seven days a week. Closed Monday and Tuesday from November to Easter but open for evening meals 6pm to 9pm.
