Updates

Reopened Friday 16th April for outside service and 17th May 2021 for full inside service. If wishing to dine, bookings are advised at weekends. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis if there is space.

Four cask beers were available on Sunday 23rd May: 2 from Wharfedale, Tetley Cask and Hetton Pale Ale.

About the Pub

Established in 1860, this former coaching inn is multi-roomed and the oldest hostelry in this traditional dales village. The bar boasts eight hand pumps with two regular beers and ever-changing guests from local breweries such as Goose Eye, Brass Castle, Dark Horse and Wensleydale. There's a warming fire, and it is dog & children friendly. Bar snacks and a la carte meals are served daily. Seven en-suite rooms are available as is wireless internet access. Functions are catered for. Open daily until late.
