About the Pub

Situated in the centre of this popular Dales village, the Black Horse is a 17th century inn. Recently decorated, the half stone-flagged, half carpeted, L-shaped main bar area has a bright feel and is warmed by a large log fire. An extensive food menu is available in both the main bar, or the separate dining room. Accommodation is in 15 en-suite bedrooms. Quiz Wednesday. It was known as the King William IV until the end of the 18th century and later as the Prince Albert. A room at the rear of the hotel housed the Uppper Wharfedale Museum until it moved to new premises in the square in 1979.
