About the Pub

Unspoilt, traditional, ivy clad Dales pub-cum-hotel on the village green. Mullioned bay windows front a pub that eschews modern gimmickry and the last significant changes to its pub interior all happened in the 1950s. It was at that time that the small servery was introduced where the beer was served direct from the cask by jug. There are now also two hand pumps with Timothy Taylor Best Bitter (Boltmaker) on permanently and the other offering changing guest beers. Note: you can still have the beer served from the jug! A bar billiards table is in the front lounge. Arncliffe is in a conservation area.
