Updates

Re-opening to the public on July 4th at 12noon - You must pre-book a table. If you turn up on the day, we can only let you in IF there is seating space available. Tables are available inside or outside. Inside = up to 2 households. Outside = up to 6 people from any number of households. Tables will be available in one hour time-slots but you will be required to leave 15 minutes early so we can clean your table area for the next customers. You may book more than one time-slot for your table. Unfortunately, if you book a table outside and the weather turns, you will not be allowed to seek shelter inside. Gazebos and umbrellas will be up. Please message us to book. We will require your full name and a telephone number. We are obligated to keep a record of all customers.

About the Pub

The brainchild of Andrew Davey and John Beaumont, the Counting House opened in March 2016 in part of an old bank. A brightly decorated bar with a welcoming atmosphere, it has exposed brickwork, feature light fittings and multiple clocks and mirrors. The L-shaped drinking/dining area has plenty of small tables and small standing areas at the bar and by the door. The Hetton Pale Ale is complemented by three changing beers. These are usually local and often include a darker beer. A small but varied menu of fresh, home-cooked food is served 6-8 on Thursday only, with roast dinners available on Sundays until they run out, usually at about 4pm - booking for both is advisable. Branch Pub of the Season Winter 2017/8.
