About the Pub
The Red Lion is a small hotel in a Grade II listed building situated at Bailey Head, just a few yards away from the open and covered markets. It has recently been updated and now has a smart and comfortable lounge area with modern furniture. The landlord has a very positive outlook on real ale. Was once a part of the extensive local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery, and latterly Punch Taverns, but from May 2015 it was taken into private ownership.
