About the Pub

Allegedly, two ghosts reside at the pub and can often be seen with the aid of other spirits! Don’t let this "fact" put you off as a warm welcome awaits both locals and visitors. This pub is described by the landlord and landlady on their website as "a small country pub offering good quality Pub Grub". While the interior is open-plan, it is loosely separated into three distinct areas, bar, lounge and dining area, with unobtrusive background music. Was once a part of the large local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery. In addition to the two changing beers, the pub has a permanent house beer called Astley Ale, which comes from a local brewer.
