About the Pub

An old but modernised pub by the Basingstoke canal. The pub has a large interior with two fire places and four main seating areas with mock wood panelled walls and wooden beamed ceiling giving it a country feel. A wide food selection is available with lunchtime and main menus plus themed food evenings. Monday is quiz night and Friday is live music night. The large family garden and outside seating areas are adjacent to the canal, popular with walkers as are the nearby Ash Ranges. Viewed from the garden the nearby canal bridge has a WWII defensive position built on the opposite bank.
