About the Pub

Operated by Youngs' Pub Company since 12 March 2020. This entry will be updated in due course.

This Free house is part of Pearmain Pubs who are also responsible the Onslow Arms, West Clandon and five others in the Surrey area. The core of this village pub is a late 16th or early 17th-century half-timbered building with later extensions. It is now one main bar with doors through to a restaurant. There is also a small separate room used for private dining. The pub has been modernised internally and is bright and busy. Whilst led by good-quality food, there are up to four real ales on the bar, with the changing beers being predominantly local. Not all tables in the bar are bookable and there is no pressure to have a meal. Buses stop outside, and there are evening and Sunday services from Cranleigh and Guildford.
