About the Pub

A short hop across the road from Waterloo railway station, this unusual free house in railway arches enjoys the comforting rumble of trains overhead. A long-time real ale outlet from the earliest days of CAMRA when real ale was rare in the area It has a cosy, rugby-themed front bar, with a second bar in the large back room containing fruit machines and TVs. Alongside the impressive range of real ales, good food is served all day. The clientele is mixed and the pub gets busy when there is a game at Twickenham. Folk music plays on Sunday evenings. 4 handpumps in the front bar and 9 in the rear.
