NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A nationwide lockdown is currently in place in England, and you are required by law to stay at home. Hospitality venues can still provide food takeaway and delivery services, but can only sell alcohol by delivery service.
But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.
If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.
Updates
They are doing takeaway meals, including specials on some days, such as a roast on Sundays. Additionally, they have a Provisions List of fresh produce that the local community can purchase including meat, vegetables and dairy items. They also have a canning machine so you can take away fresh beer in a can.

About the Pub
An out of town gastro-pub with a strong local following, having low ceilings and oak beams in abundance, its origins as a Farmhouse and Blacksmith's Forge dating back to the 13th C. An attractive and cosy seating area, having red-brick walls and an ancient fireplace as centre-piece, beckons as you enter the old bar. Drinkers are also welcome in the surrounding area warmed by a log-burning stove. The pub prides itself in sourcing ingredients locally and producing homemade food that is cooked and served with passion - see http://www.thethatchedtavern.co.uk/eat.htm - an experience they wish to share with you. Fullers LP and W&E Guardsman (a new addition) are regular beers and the pub also serves a house beer Thatched Tavern Best Bitter, by Windsor & Eton brewery. The quirky building and friendly staff, coupled with its blend of food, beers and fine wines makes this pub/restaurant well worth a visit. Strangely for such an establishment, the gents are to be found outside.
