About the Pub
Located at the Victoria Road end of Roscoe Street and approximately 300m
from the Railway Station. The building was completed in 1903 as an adult
school by Joshua Rowntree with the bar and function room (complete with
snooker table) situated on the first floor. A family oriented pub and ideally
equipped for hosting functions. Pub teams participate in local snooker and pool leagues. There is a covered smoking area at ground level to the rear.
