Reopened 4th July
We ask that all customers bare in mind the new and current social distancing guidelines. We have new rules in place to ensure the safety of all our customers & staff so we ask you to respect these at all times.
We are now accepting bookings. These can be done via telephone  ️ on 01709 555784 or via our website -
*Our phone lines will be open between 12-6PM up until opening*
Following government guidelines we have taken steps to ensure that all our customers and team members are kept safe when visiting The Mill Dam. We advise that you pay strict attention to the following steps..
1 - Upon entry you will be asked to provide a name, telephone number and address. This will be kept private and is only in place to meet the governments ‘Track & Trace’ program. If a staff member is unsure you may be asked to show proof of ID.
2 - There will be no standing area inside and outside, including standing around the bar and every guest MUST be seated. This applies to both guests dining or those just having a drink. Those who are dining with us will benefit from full table service. We have temporarily removed the pool table and set aside the old sports bar area for drinkers. Once you have paid for and received your drink/s, you must make your way back to your table. You must have a table in order to be served.
3 - The maximum number of guests per table is 6, this includes children, toddlers and babies. We politely ask that all children MUST remain seated and with you at all times during your visit. After careful consideration UNDER 18’s who are not dining are not permitted on the premises past 7PM. You will not be able to book two tables of 5 to make 10, for example, or move tables inside & outside together to enlarge the seating area. Booking parties can contain people from TWO households.
4 - When booking a table, if the time you are requesting isn’t available you may be offered a different time. If a alternative cannot be offered, we can only apologise as we are trying to manage our capacity safely.

You will not be able to book two tables of 5 to make 10, for exa.

About the Pub

Large modern estate pub overlooking a large green area, named the Alpine in recognition of the building's resemblance to an alpine chalet. Closed in February 2019, completely refurbished and renamed as the Mill Dam in recognition of the nearby Greasbrough Dams. Reopened in late April 2019 and tastefully decorated, it is still very much a local's pub. Two real ales are usually available, often sourced from the local Chantry Brewery and also a real cider. Prices are very reasonable.
