Updates

Reopened on MONDAY 6th JULY 2020 at 4pm.
We have endeavoured to make things as safe as possible for both the staff and you, our customers.  There will be safety measures in place and we ask that you respect our social distancing rules.
Please bear with us, as it will be strange for us all when we restart.  Our staff are not going to suddenly have become experts in infection/disease control, politics or all the new guidelines.
Inside the pub, there will be no standing allowed – everyone must be seated at a designated table and the number of people allowed in, will be restricted.
You cannot ‘just’ move tables together and we will not turn a blind eye.  Failure to comply would lead to you being asked to leave the premises.
Things will not be normal for a while but we will do our best.
Initially our opening times will be different and NO FOOD will be served.

Bar opening times:
Monday – Friday 4pm-10pm
Saturday 12pm-10pm
Sunday 12pm-7pm
The pub will close 30 minutes after the bar closes.

About the Pub

Next to a 13th-century thatched barn, this friendly local replaced an old coaching inn when the road was widened in 1933. One side of the bar acts as a tap room, with a split-level lounge to the right. The large garden features a barbecue area. Events are sometimes held there. In the heart of Whiston, the pub is a regular local CAMRA award winner. The food is home-cooked by chefs. Features include quiz nights, discos, occasional live music and scooter club meets. Music Festivals and Charity events held in garden during the summer. A large, enclosed outside drinking area was added in May 2018 removing a few car parking spaces.

NO FOOD BEING SERVED AT PRESENT
