If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

We will be opening our doors Monday 6th July after being closed for 3 and a half month, and I think everyone can agree it’s felt like 3 and a half years!
We look forward to seeing as many faces as possible and welcome you all back, but for the foreseeable future, things will have to be different to before.
The following rules and limitations have been put in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff equally:
Booking is heavily advised for food or drink. Due to regulations in place, we have a highly reduced capacity allowed in the pub. Bookings will be made for two hours, if you are looking for longer, make it aware to a member of staff and we’ll move things around.
As per Government orders, customers will need to provide their name and phone number when entering the pub. This information will be kept for 21 days then destroyed. Failure to comply will mean entry is not permitted.
There is a one way system inside the pub, the front door being the entrance, the side door being the exit. Anyone who leaves the pub for any reason will need to walk back around to the front door to re-enter. There are signs up around the pub, please pay attention.
Once you are inside, Customers will wait by the signs in place until a member of staff can take them to their table. Tables have been adjusted to adhere to social distancing rules, please DO NOT move any furniture in the pub.
Once you are seated, a member of staff will be over to take your order and drinks will be brought to your table. There will be no service at the bar for the time being.
Customers will need to remain seated throughout their stay, unless going to the toilet. There will be no customers standing around the bar and in the pub.
groups of upto only 6 will be allowed in the pub. Please do not turn up in groups of any more, as we are unable to accommodate you.
Children must stay seated at all times inside the Pub, and will also be asked to Vacate the premises by 9pm.
Music will be at a set volume throughout the week, we are unable to turn this up. Anyone raising their voice unnecessarily will be asked to leave.
Extra hand sanitiser stations have been added near all doors in the pub.
All staff are fully briefed on new procedures and PPE will be provided for them.
Only one set of toilets will be opened. Toilets are operating on a 1 in 1 out system.
We understand this is a lot to take in, and I’m sure you’ve seen the same message across a number of pubs and restaurants. Although things might not be how they were, sticking to the rules set in place will give us a better chance of getting back to normality sooner!
Please bare with us. Staff have never worked under these conditions and it is new to our team too.
If you have any questions, please ask us. If you see anything you aren’t happy with, please let us know. We’re all in this together, so for our sake and your sake, let’s make sure that we do it right
Take care, we hope to see you all soon! Watch the video on facebook.

About the Pub

Tasteful conversion of a barn in the grounds of the former Kimberworth Manor. The manor house can be seen at the rear of the extensive car park to the rear and is a listed building. Bridie and Danny took over the pub in January 2016, following a problematical time for the pub and have been very enthusiastic about the real ale. There are now three handpumps, but usually only two in operation, dispensing changing beers from local micro breweries and from further afield. The food is home cooked and the menus quite varied. The upstairs Kimberworth Suite function room can accommodate 120 people. Live music on every 3rd Saturday evening of the month and sometimes other times in the function room. General knowledge quiz on Thursday evenings from 9pm.

Historic Interest

Originally built as farm barns for Kimberworth Manor in 1694, home to the Kent family. It later passed to the Howard family and was gifted to the council in the 1970's. The buildings housing the pub were sold off and developed into the pub and restaurant shortly afterwards. The listed Manor House, dovecot and other buildings can be viewed from the car park but are in a derelict state.
