About the Pub

Built in the mid 18th century as the New Inn, later the Harcourt Arms, when the 1st Earl Harcourt demolished the original village to make way for a landscaped park and Nuneham House and rebuilt it as two identical rows of brick-built semi-detached cottages either side of what is now the A4074. It was rescued from dereliction in 2010 and became a fusion Chinese restaurant & wine bar retaining a small bar area, with some comfortable seating, nice rugs and modern d├ęcor. Ceased trading Feb 2020.

Historic Interest

Listed as inn, mid C18, altered and extended mid C19.
