About the Pub

Two-floored bar on the canalfront near Nottingham Railway Station. The pub, opened in 2001, takes its name from the Trent Navigation Company, which built this former warehouse on the north bank of the Nottingham Canal. Cask ales come from the local and national Wetherspoons range. Unusually for a Lloyds bar, closes earlier than other nearby pubs.

Historic Interest

The Company Inn is in a Grade II listed building (No.1255261) located in Nottingham City Council's Nottingham Canal Conservation Area. "Canal warehouse, now disused. c1919. Brick, with concrete basement, blue brick plinth and concrete dressings, and flat roof behind parapet. Plinth, second floor sill band, string course, chamfered brick eaves. Windows are metal framed glazing bar casements. 6 storeys plus basement; 21 windows, arranged 2:1:4:1:4:1:4:1:3. Wedge-shaped, with splayed front following the line of the canal. The 2 lower floors have 2-light segment-arched windows, and between each pair, loft doors. Upper floors have similar fenestration, with flat-headed windows, and bays divided by pilasters." (Historic England). [Nottingham City Council; Bridge Ward / Nottingham South Parliamentary Constituency]
