About the Pub

Canalside pub, converted from a warehouse. The main entrance is through two large wooden doors, at the side of the pub. The main rear bar has varied seating, and leads out to a huge patio area with seating, linking the pub to the canal. A smaller front room is used at busy times. The upstairs function room leads to a balcony, which overlooks the patio outside. During winter may close at 5.00pm on Sunday.

Historic Interest

Late 19th Century warehouse. Via Fossa has an entry on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Heritage List (09 December 2013), which notes that it was built in 1897, was designed by W. Dymock Pratt and bears the name "Hardstaff". [Nottingham City Council; Bridge Ward / Nottingham South Parliamentary Constituency]
